Jerolyn Lockhart lives by celebrating each new day after a stroke that changed her life. The miracles that surrounded her at that time is a testament to God’s unfailing grace and His affirmation that she would continue to write for Him. Pre-stroke, she authored a volume of poetry entitled “Egrets Rise” and contributed to local anthologies. She also wrote and performed works for radio and special occasions, as well as giving workshops for her writers’ groups, and was a regular contributor to the Six Rural Writers blog and newsletter. Now recovered but for a few “glitches”, she has written six individualized devotional Scripture journals for her grandchildren and has been a guest blogger for Patti Sheen’s Over 50 Writer and Patti’s Porch. She is currently working on a book of healing hope based on her stroke journey and God’s promises and loving care.

Jerolyn enjoys life with her husband John in a small town in southeast Colorado. She likes reading, watching movies, camping in the mountains, kayaking on a lake, and walking the nature trail at nearby Old Bent’s Fort. Her greatest delight is in her family, and she is blessed to have her eldest son as pastor of the church she attends. She marvels at the goodness of God in the quietness of her home or out in nature, and as she is surrounded by family and reflects on the journey that brought them where they are today.
